Come in and have a look. We'll show you around the workshop and suggest how you can join in.

It's a busy and vibrant community arts workshop in Masterton. It is a warm and friendly place where people feel confident to explore their creativity under the excellent guidance of professional art tutors.

Everyone is welcome at King Street Artworks. In the interests of a healthy community we have an 'open door' policy and encourage family, friends and community members to attend. All art classes, art materials and use of the art workshop are free.

Here You will find

A friendly place where you will be accepted. Art tutors and artists who will support you. A well equipped safe studio with special areas for pottery, woodwork, printing, sculpture and painting. A good range of art materials. A library of art books. A gallery to exhibit your works

We offer: A place to do your artwork. Wednesday morning art classes. Special workshops with visiting tutors. Group projects for the community. Workshops of special interest to Maori. A day just for women on Fridays. Visits to inspiring places. We have an annual King Street Artworks exhibition at aratoi.

2007-05-14 12:18:25   Having been to King Street Artworks a number of times, I can only say "what a fantastic space". The atmosphere is just so friendly and creative. Anyone who has seen the annual King Street Artworks exhibition at aratoi knows about the highly creative art produced by the various artists. This exhibition is for me a yearly highlight on our Wairarapa arts calendar. Welcome aboard our Wiki. —TomvanBodgraven
