Martinborough Wine Centre

Martinborough Wine Centre is located at the heart of Martinborough Wine Village with thirty wineries within walking distance. It is housed in a wonderful concrete block building that used to operate as Campbells Garage. The building was constructed in 1917 and at the time of its construction, it was the largest single span building in Australasia.
It was used until 1998 as an automobile workshop and even after the renovation in 2001, the original inspection pit is still visible.
Martinborough Wine Centre was established as a showcase for the wines and wineries of this extraordinary region and has become the central hub of many of the local wine industry activities. While wine production in Martinborough & Wairarapa may be small - approximately 2% of New Zealand's production - many of the country's finest wineries at the ultra-premium end of the market originate from here.
