Organic Essentials

Wharerata is a diverse commercial farming operation located in the picturesque Wairarapa Valley. We have 250ha running deer, sheep, dairy heifers, cattle and grain cropping. We also have exotic timber plantations, a coppicing firewood block and a covenanted regenerating native bush block.

Through our procurement business, Organic Essentials, we coordinate and supply the domestic market with beef and lamb, year round. We are certified BioGro (number 209) from pasture to plate and use Dan's Organics to process and package our meat.

We sell the complete range of certified organic fresh chilled cuts of beef and lamb. In addition we offer a range of smallgoods including a selection of sausages and salami's.

We have hosted numerous local and international groups and individuals to our farm and throughout NZ. If you or your group have specific needs that you feel we can meet please contact us. We are happy to consider them on an individual basis.
