allbottles.jpgPinot Noir is our most important variety and was the reason for us to settle in Martinborough within the Wairarapa region, where New Zealand’s Pinot Noir history was born, to set up our vineyard. The 2001 Pinot Noir was our first vintage and was released in early 2003.

With our now available fourth vintage we offer two clone-selections: the "Marion’s Vineyard" Pinot Noir consisting predominantly of the "Able" and "Pommard" clones while the "Schubert" Pinot Noir consists primarily of the "Dijon" clones.

… the emphasis is on keeping the quality that comes with the grapes from the vineyards. This means gentle processing in all vinification processes and starts with the way of picking the grapes. All fruit is carefully selected and picked by hand and then collected in small, perforated baskets. This is especially important if the grapes are travelling for a while, like the ones coming from Hawkes Bay. Only about 2 layers of grapes fit in a basket and therefore any squeezing and damaging of the grapes is avoided.

Currently the following wines are available:

2006 Pinot Noir "Marion's Vineyard"

2006 Pinot Noir

2003 Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot

2005 Syrah

2007 Rosé

2006 Tribianco

2007 Sauvignon blanc

2006 Dolce (sold out)
