The story behind Tapas food.

In days gone by when one ordered a glass of wine in a Spanish bar a small plate was put on the top to keep the flies out. Often on the plate was put a small morsel of food to tempt the tastebuds.

Today the "Tapas" concept has developed into the idea of small portions presented to excite the palate and interest the eyes. We hope you enjoy our "Tapas" experience be it as a snack or as a "Platter" for a more substantial meal.

Music At Lounge:
We have a variety of different Artists who play at Lounge. All are available for gigs be they private functions, weddings, or you name it. Some of the artist / groups are Steffan Brown, Muraqqa, Pat McKenna, Verandah Band and the Wairarapa Folk Club.

We also run The Cellar Door, Carterton.
