The South Wairarapa Tramping Club
The South Wairarapa Tramping Club runs regular trips throughout the year. Difficulty varying from very easy to much more challenging trips. Most run on a Saturday with an occasional overnight trip.
South Wairarapa Tramping Club runs tramping trips every weekend in Wairarapa and sometimes around Wellington. Most are day trips suitable for people of average or moderate fitness, or even slobs and couch potatoes wanting fresh air and free lamingtons. We schedule trips for Saturday so we have Sunday to fall back on in case of bad weather.
Trips are advertised in our monthly newsletter, in the “What’s On” column in the Wairarapa Times-Age each Friday, and on this web site - see Trips.
If you want to join SWTC, try us out first. Come to a monthly meeting (second Tuesday in each month - see Meetings) or better still join us on a tramp (see Trips). We cater for all age group. Our subscription is $30 for single members and $40 for couples and families.
